17th Annual HBCU College Festival

Our middle and high school students will be traveling to the 17th Annual HBCU College Festival in Washington, DC.  The festival is an annual event for students to learn about the opportunities offered by Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Students will be able to speak with representatives of approximately 80 HBCUs to understand what their institutions offer academically and socially. Some of these institutions will offer on-site admissions, waive application fees, and offer financial assistance. The festival also has seminars on subjects connected to applying to and attending college, including sources of financial assistance. Vendors and External Organizations (Fraternities, Sororities, and other Service Organizations) will be present on the festival floor, along with the colleges and universities.

To attend students must be in 6th -12th grade.  The cost for our students will be $100 which includes lodging, transportation, and meals.  The health form, permission form and emergency contact information forms must be returned prior to the trip. Please sign-up swiftly as space is limited.  Registration packets and sign-up sheets are available online as well as at the welcome desk. The registration deadline is Sunday, February 10, 2019.
